Bhindi Do Pyaza

                                           Bhindi do pyaza is a simple but elgant dish from North India. Bhindi well known as Okra or Ladiesfinger is cooked with double the amount of onions and had a spicy and a tangy flavour. Bhindi do Pyaza is one of the favourites fron our Punjabi cuisine. Best paired with nan or parathas is a quick Indian recipe for Lunch or Dinner Ideas. INGREDIENTS: 250 gms Bhindi / Okra / Ladyfinger 3 Large Onions 1 Potato 2 Tomatoes 1 Teaspoon Jeera / Cumin Seeds 1-2 Green Chillies 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric 1/2 Teaspoon Red Chilly Powder 1/2 Teaspoon Jeera Powder 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder 1/2 Teaspoon Amchoor / Dry Mango Powder Salt to taste 3 Tablespoon Mustard Oil Fresh Coriander to Garnish PREPARATION TIME: 20 Minutes HOW TO PREPARE: Wash and dry the Bhindis and cut it into an inch long pieces Wash, peel and cut the potato into an inch pieces Slice the onions and keep them aside In a wok take 2 tablespoon oil and fry the Bhindi and Potatoes Take the Bhindi o

INGREDIENTS:   2 Packets Maggie  4-5 Plain Chicken Sausages  1/2 Cup Peas  1 Onion Chopped  Salt to taste  1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper  Fresh Coriander Chopped  1 Tablespoon Oil PREPARATION TIME: 10 Minutes    HOW TO PREPARE :   In wok heat oil and saute onions till translucent  Add in Peas and saute for a minute  Add in Chopped sausages and saute for few minutes  Sprinkle the maggie masala on the onions  Add 3 cups of water and mix everything  Add in maggie and let it cook till it gets soft  Sprinkle salt and pepper according to taste  Mix all well, cover and cook till done  Serve hot and garnish with fresh chopped coriander Watch the video for this recipe: https://youtu.be/2aio8XCsIKs

EASY EGGLESS BISCUIT CAKE

INGREDIENTS: 1) 1 Packet of Marie biscuits 2) 1 Packet of Hide 'n' Seek Biscuits 3) 1 Packet of Parle G biscuits 4) 1 1/2 Teaspoon of Baking Powder 5) 1 Tablespoon chocolate Sauce 6) 1 cup Milk 7) Oil for greasing PREPARATION TIME: 10 minutes HOW TO PREPARE: * Grind the biscuits into powder form and keep it in a bowl * Add Milk, Baking powder, Chocolate sauce and mix well * Grease the cake bowl and add the batter to the bowl * Microwave the batter for 4 minutes and done! * Pour Chocolate Sauce over it before serving!

BROWNIE IN A CUP(EGGLESS)

INGREDIENTS: 1) 1/4 Cup Sugar 2) 1/4 Cup Flour/Maida 3) 2 Tablespoon Cocoa Powder 4) Pinch of salt 5) 2 Tablespoon Oil(refined/olive) 6) 3 Tablespoon water 7) 1 Scoop Vanilla Ice cream(optional) PREPARATION TIME: 5 Mins HOW TO PREPARE: * Add all dry ingredients in a cup * Add oil and water to it * Mix till the mixture gets consistent * Microwave for 1 min 40 sec. Its done!! * Serve hot or with ice cream scoop

SPICY POTATO SALAD

INGREDIENTS: 1) 4 Potatoes 2) 1 Onion Chopped 3) 1/4 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder 4) 1 Cup Green Peas 5) 2 Green Chillies 6) 1 Tablespoon Lemon juice 7) Salt to taste 8) Black Pepper to taste 9) 2 Tablespoon Tomato sauce/ Saunth ki Chutney 10) 2 Tablespoon Curd 11) 1 Tablespoon green coriander 12) 1 Teaspoon Roasted Jeera powder/ Cumin seeds 13) 1/2 Teaspoon Chat Masala Powder 14) Few Peanuts 15) 1/4 Cup Pomegranate seeds PREPARATION TIME: 15 Mins HOW TO PREPARE: * Boil Potatoes and Peas in a microwave safe bowl for 5 - 6 minutes * Peel potatoes and cut into small pieces * Microwave oil in microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds. * Add Onion, Green Chillies and microwave for 2 minutes * Mix all ingredients and microwave for 1 minute * Garnish with green coriander, pomegranate and peanuts * Serve hot/cold with Saunth/Curd

MICROWAVE CHILLY and TAMARIND PICKLE

INGREDIENTS: 1) 200 gms Green Chillies 2) 2 Teaspoon Oil 3) 1/2 Teaspoon Saunf / Aniseed 4) 1/2 Teaspoon Methi Dana / Fenugreek Seeds 5) 1 Teaspoon Aamchoor/ Dry Mango Powder 6) 1/2 Teaspoon Dhania / Coriander Powder 7) 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder 8) 1/2 Teaspoon Haldi / Turmeric Powder 9) 2 Teaspoon Imli / Tamarind Paste 10) Salt to taste PREPARATION TIME : 7 Minutes HOW TO PREPARE: * Wash and Wipe Green Chillies and slit them with knife * Add Oil to Microwave Safe bowl and microwave it for 30 Seconds at 100% Power * Crush Saunf and Methi dana and keep aside * Put all dry spices and microwave for 2 -3 minutes at 100% power. stir in between. * Add Slit Chillies and 1/2 Cup water and microwave for 3 - 4 minutes at 100% Power * Add Tamarind Paste and microwave for 1 - 2 minutes at 100% power. Stir in Between * Store in a jar when cool down but must be consumed within a week * Serve with any meal

MICROWAVE DIET POTATOES WEDGES

INGREDIENTS: 1) 3 - 4 Potatoes 2) 2 Teaspoon Olive Oil 3) Salt to taste 4) Black Pepper to taste 5) 1/4 Teaspoon red chilli powder 6) 1 Teaspoon Jeera/Cummin Powder 7) 1/2 Teaspoon Garam Masala 8) 1/2 Teaspoon Dry Pudina/Mint Leaves Powder PREPARATION TIME: 20 mins HOW TO PREPARE: * Cut the potatoes into wedges and put them in a microwave safe bowl * Add Oil to potatoes and mix well * Microwave for 2 - 3 mins at 100% power * Add all dry ingredients to potatoes and mix well * Again Microwave for 15 - 16 mins, mixing potatoes in between * If still not done then microwave for 2 - 3 mins more * Serve hot with paranthas or have them hot with tea on a rainy day ** Good for children as it can be giving in tiffin too!!

SIMPLE MICROWAVE CAKE

INGREDIENTS: 1) 1 Cup flour (Maida) 2) 1 Cup Cream (Malai) 3) 1 Cup Sugar 4) 1/2 Cup Curd/Yogurt 5) Pinch of salt 6) 5 Teaspoon Milk 7) 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder 8) 1/2 Teaspoon Soda-bi-Carbonate 9) 1 Packet Gems/M&M to decorate 10) Few Choco chips to decorate PREPARATION TIME: 30 mins HOW TO PREPARE: * Mix Flour, Baking Powder, Soda-bi-carbonate and salt, Keep aside * Beat Cream and Sugar together untill fluffy * Add Curd and beat well * Mix in Flour mixture untill you get a smooth batter * Add Milk and mix well * Grease a microwave dish and pour in the mixture * Microwave on 60% power for 8 - 10 mins * Check with a fork in the middle of the cake if it is cooked * Cool the cake on the wire rack for 10 mins * Decorate with Gems and Choco Chips * Serve in slices with tea/coffee
